Congress Representative Cathy McMorris Rogers
McMorris Rogers joined the Hunger Coalition at our office on Monday, March 9th to learn about the Coalition efforts to reduce hunger in northeast Washington. Having lived on an orchard on the Columbus River McMorris Rogers enjoyed the presentation about the Harvest Against Hunger program which is aimed at reducing agriculture waste and building connections between local farmers and food banks. At the end of the presentation McMorris Rogers awarded our Board President Michele Sakurai with a plaque of recognition from her office. She was also able to meet the directors and volunteers from Kettle Falls, Chewelah and Tum Tum Food Banks.
